In this group project we worked with a complex topic, South Sudan, by using systems oriented design. We learned when and how to use different tools to get an understanding about South Sudans history, but also imagine a better future for the country. By working on problems and potentials we wanted to work further with education which lead us to our laverages and interventions.
It has been very rewarding to use SOD to map out an unfamiliar topic in order to gain a holistic understanding. I also see that these methods can be applied to issues of varying complexity and are relevant in multiple contexts. Working in this way enables the ability to gather information in a structured manner.
